Woven through the three course Christmas Dinner is this timeless narrative performed by Minty Spectre of Dickens’ cherished “A Christmas Carol”. The cast of a narrator and vocal group join together to bring alive the characters who play a role in Scrooge’s redemption, from the wise counsel of his deceased business partner, Marley, to the joyous memories of his merry one-time employer, Fezziwig, and the infectious spirit of his high-spirited nephew, Fred.

The vocal group of four singers, singing both original and classic Christmas music, sits perfectly around the beloved tale.

This year, we are pleased to offer you a Sunday performance and an evening performance as well as 2 daytime performances.

12noon/7pm             Arrive in the barn for a glass of Smoking Bishop or blackcurrant steam, enjoy the atmosphere as the cast set to scene with some carol singing.

12.30/7.15pm          Take your seats for Part 1 of A Christmas Carol

1pm/7.45pm             1^st course is served – a hot bowl of homemade soup and a bread roll

1.30/8.15pm             Part 2 commences

2pm/8.45pm             2^nd course is served –delicious Christmas Turkey with all the trimmings

2.30/9.15pm             Part 3 commences

3pm/9.45pm            3^rd Course is served – Desert of Christmas pudding and brandy sauce followed by tea/coffee

3.30/10.15pm          Opportunity for some retail therapy at the gift stall

4pm/10.30pm          Depart the barn and into the Long Gallery for a rousing rendition of ‘We wish you a merry Christmas’
