People have come to Layer Marney Tower to celebrate Weddings for hundreds of years. More recently the wedding venue facilities have been upgraded to include running water, efficient heating and flushing lavatories! At this country house wedding venue we recognise the need to offer the best of the past and the past at it’s best!

Most Wedding Receptions begin with drinks and canapes in the lovely gardens and move into the Long Gallery for the Wedding Breakfast.

The Long Gallery is a stunning room, with a magnificent beamed ceiling, oak panelling and a polished oak sprung  floor – ideal for dancing. With varying table layouts you may comfortably seat between 14 and 140 guests for your Wedding Breakfast and there is room for a total of 200 guests in the evening.

The grand Edwardian staircase, which you may decorate with your choice of flowers, foliage and fairy lights, makes an impressive entrance to the principal room. The historic Jacobean fireplace adds to the ambiance of the room throughout the year, acting as a focal point whether decorated with flowers or with log fire blazing.

If you are planning a smaller wedding without dancing then we have other rooms that are available at certain times of the year. Please contact us to discuss your Wedding Venue requirements and we will explore how we can assist you.

Catering at Layer Marney Tower is provided by Bouquet Garni. Their food is excellent; their menus extensive; their approach flexible: they will do their utmost to assist with all your choices. You may, if you wish, supply your own alcohol for the drinks reception, Wedding Breakfast and toasts. We do not charge corkage, instead Bouquet Garni make a small charge for the wine waiting service. Layer Marney Tower is fully licensed and a cash bar is run by Bouquet Garni.

Due to cancellations, we have two dates unexpectedly available; Friday 16th June and Saturday 7th October.  Contact us for more information.

We received so many nice comments about the venue, food, location etc and would highly recommend Layer Marney Tower to anyone and everyone!
