Interesting Places to Visit
Often hidden behind closed doors are fascinating properties that are rarely seen by visitors. Invitation to View is a scheme through which such hidden gems are made available several times during the year.
Why not visit Otley Hall in Suffolk, a sixteenth century moated hall that is still a family home, it is a perfect example of unspoilt late medieval architecture, or Wolerton Park in Norfolk,built for Horatio Walpole, brother of Sir Robert it is now undergoing major refurbishment. If you are in the West Country you won’t be disappointed if you visit Kelly House where the Kelly family have lived for 900 years, the tour offers social and architectural history of country houses in Devon from Saxon to the present day. For something completely different in Braintree visit the Warner Textile Archive where there are 100,000 textile and wallpaper samples,pape designs and documents showing the history of Warner and Sons.
