There are six tented encampments in the grounds of Layer Marney Tower each named after one of the wives of Henry VIII.
Each encampment has a main tent sleeping up to 6 people in comfortable beds, there is a plumbed in loo, cold running water to the kitchen sink, and battery operated lights. A comfortable sofa and large table and a wooden floor running throughout and onto a large veranda, that adds 1/3 to the living space. There is an indoor and outdoor cooking stove fuelled by logs that are provided. There is a private shower. Three of the encampments have hot tubs (book them through Featherdown)
There is a small shop that will supply items you might have forgotten and we can order food in for you.
Amazing weekend break – was lovely to spend so much time outside and watch the kids make fires and play. Lovely accommodation and place to be.
Just wanted to let you know that we totally loved staying at your Glamping site this past weekend. The children had a complete ball. They loved the hot tub, the animal feeding, going up the tower and the Cowboy Supper. The adults loved the walks, the Sunday service, the comfortable beds, the hot shower and the history tour in the tower. We were all very toasty and warm, despite the cooler nights. Everyone voted we wanted to return again. That’s a sign of a great holiday! Thanks so much.
What a lovely place. It rained pretty much non stop but even in the rain there was so much fun to have. We fed deer. Sheep and goats, collected eggs, explored a Tudor tower and cooked sausages over a wood stove. What a magical weekend.
