Join in all the fun of the Fair, climb the tower and enjoy the play area. There will be stalls, tents, games, armour and food. The highlight will be the arrival of the Funeral Procession at around 12noon from Tiptree. Henry, 1st Lord Marney’s coffin will be drawn by six horses with his effigy on display, accompanied by at least 50 Friends and relations, priests and monks and persons in his livery, as they make their way to the Church.
The Parade will then enter the Church where a lovely service, led by the Rev. Anne Marie Renshaw, is commemorating all those involved in the Community over the last 500 years. The Choir come from members of the Tiptree Choral Society led by Malcolm Boulter and the Organist is David Leveridge.
It will be a sight to be seen.
