Your Perfect Day

We know that every wedding is different and individual. Nevertheless, we hope that the following will give you some idea of how your perfect day might unfold if you were to have your Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Layer Marney Tower.

Once you are ready

Our uniformed chauffeur will arrive in the Rolls Royce to collect the bridal party and drive them to Layer Marney Tower.

Wedding Party Arrives

Some guests will have been collected from local hotels in the Layer Marney Routemaster Bus, other guests will travel independently. Typically guests spend a little time wandering around the garden before being ushered to the Corsellis Room.

The Bride Arrives

The bridal party arrive and before meeting with the Registrars are photographed.

Ceremony

The wedding ceremony in the Corsellis Room usually takes 25 minutes, with readings by friends or family and music chosen by the couple

Private Moment

While guests are assembling in the garden, the wedding couple are taken for a short drive (five minutes peace…) before joining their friends and family.

Drinks Reception

Bouquet Garni will serve your choice of drinks and canapes, whilst your photographer combines formal group photography with reportage.

Wedding Breakfast

Everyone gathers in the Long Gallery for a celebratory Wedding Breakfast with speeches and toasts. When the speeches are concluded, the caterers, Bouquet Garni will clear some tables to create a dance floor.

Evening Reception… Party Time

Additional guests join the wedding, arriving in time for the cutting of the cake and the first dance. The pay bar is opened and evening food, such as a finger buffet, barbeque or hog roast is served. Everybody dances to a band or disco, pausing only to go outside to enjoy a stunning firework display by Dynamic Fireworks.

Farewell

Shortly after midnight, when the bar has closed and the music finished, guests take their last look at the beautiful floodlit Layer Marney Tower and depart by taxi or the Layer Marney Routemaster Bus.

Bridal Suite

Having waved farewell to their guests the happy couple retire to the bridal suite.

Gregg and I got married at Layer Marney Tower on 5th August, 2017 at mid day and absolutely loved it!  We had visited the Tower in the past way before we were engaged and we both loved the place and history.  It wasn’t till we looked around for wedding venues, we had such a lovely feeling for the place and knew it was the perfect venue to get married. The staff were amazing! So quick at responding to questions……….If you are thinking of a beautiful historical venue, with great staff, get married at Layer Marney Tower!!
