Enjoy a day out with your social group, team or club at Layer Marney Tower. If you are interested in the history, then this is the place for you. Minimum 15 for a group entry. Introductory 20 min. talk available.
You may be surprised by the close links Lord Marney had with Henry VIII and the influence and power he had. Although there are a lot of steps to the top of the Tower, it is a very gentle climb and plenty of stopping off points on the way.
At your own pace you can view the wonderful architecture and see the fascinating collections on display. Layer Marney Tower has the College of Arms’ Exhibition of Crowns and Crests, the Victor Batte-Lay Foundation’s Picture Collection and Myra English’s exquisite Dolls Houses.
We have a Tea Room and can offer light lunches and afternoon tea.
