New episode of Great British Railway Journeys programme filmed at Layer Marney Tower

On Sunday 26th June Michael Portillo came to Layer Marney Tower to film part of a programme for the next BBC2 series; Great British Railway Journeys. With his Victorian copy of Bradshaw's Railway guide under his arm, Michael chatted to Nicholas Charrington, owner of Layer Marney Tower, about Quinten Dick who was an MP who once owned the Tower and was shown round. He stayed the night and then on Monday he left for Harwich where he will be loading a container onto a ship.
