Medieval Siege Society

Sunday 26th  11 a.m - 5.00 p.m and Monday 27th May 11.00 a.m - 5.00 p.m.

 

The Medieval Siege Society will be setting up camp at Layer Marney Tower over the second May Bank Holiday weekend.  They will re-enact the conflicts of the high medieval period and bring the past to life with exciting and entertaining battles, sieges, displays and living history encampments.

 

Programme

11.00 a.m. Gates Open

12.30  - 1.15  Archery Demonstration

1.30 - 2.00/2.15 Arming a Knight

3.00 - 3.45  Tournament of Foot

4.00 - 4.30 Children's Knight

 

There will be an archery tournament running during the afternoon on both Sunday and Monday which will be fun to watch.  You will be able to wander through the encampment  and talk to the re-enactors and learn about medieval life.
